This could be as simple as allowing the year 5 children to play in the year 1 sandpit, or more challenging woodwork projects. Their imaginations are the limit.

Children’s minds are untapped limitless places of imagination and inquisitiveness. Children typically learn by doing, playing, experimenting, having a go, it not going to plan, then trying again and succeeding.
Learning by experiencing things first hand rather than from books or pictures has a more lasting impression on young minds.
Children following alternative learning where their enquiring minds lead them can result in amazing discoveries and huge improvement in confidence. This in turn often leads to a more productive and willing attitude to traditional schooling.
